How Molina Works at EnnHealth
EnnHealth is not currently contracted with Molina Healthcare. We want to be straightforward about that, because it determines what your visit will cost. Molina is a managed care company founded in 1980 by Dr. C. David Molina to serve underserved communities, and it now covers more than 5 million members across 20 states — but EnnHealth is an out-of-network provider for all Molina plans.
That does not mean we cannot see you. Molina members are welcome as out-of-network patients. Most choose one of two routes: a flat-rate Direct Psychiatry Care membership from $99/month with no claims involved, or paying per visit and submitting a superbill we provide to Molina for possible partial reimbursement.
What This Means for You
- No in-network billing: we cannot bill Molina directly, and your in-network copay does not apply here
- Medicaid members: Molina Medicaid generally does not reimburse out-of-network care, so a Molina Medicaid plan will usually not cover visits with us — our self-pay plans are the practical route
- Marketplace members: some Molina marketplace plans include out-of-network benefits; if yours does, a superbill may earn partial reimbursement
- Superbills on request: itemized receipts with diagnosis and procedure codes, ready to submit
If you have Molina Medicaid, mental health care is a mandatory Medicaid benefit and is likely covered at little or no cost by a provider inside Molina’s network. We would rather you use that benefit than overpay with us. Call the behavioral health number on the back of your Molina card to find an in-network provider. If those options mean a long wait or none are available near you, we are here as an out-of-network alternative.

- Per-visit self-pay: pay at the time of service and receive a superbill you can submit to Molina.
- Superbills: provided on request with the diagnosis and CPT codes insurers require.
- Prescription medications: your Molina pharmacy benefit still applies at the pharmacy — it is separate from who you see for the visit, so your medications may remain covered.

Check whether your Molina marketplace plan includes out-of-network benefits — many HMO-style plans do not, while some PPO-style plans reimburse a share of out-of-network behavioral health care after a separate deductible. Ask Molina about your “out-of-network outpatient behavioral health” benefit, then decide whether a superbill or our flat-rate plan works out better for you.
